Homer Simpson (Born in May 12, 1974; Age 42) is the father of the Simpson Family. He is an overweight, lazy, and ignorant individual, but is strongly devoted to his wife and children. Despite this and his below average intelligence, he has shown moments of great intellect, and can be a caring parent and husband at times.
Homer Simpson is also the main protagonist of the series. He is an overweight middle aged man who works at sector 7-G at the Springfield Nuclear Power Plant under the employment of Charles Montgomery Burns. He is somewhat an alcoholic and his favorite food is donuts. His best friend is Barney Gumble but is also friends and Colleagues with Carl Carlson and Lenford "Lenny" Leonard.

Do'h!
Whenever Misfortune strikes Homer he yells out his familiar trademark catchphrase "Do'h!" the catchphrase over the years has appeared in Canon Episode titles and Merchendise such as T-Shirts and Mugs.
Religion
Homer goes to church every Sunday but isn't a very strong believer, to the annoyance of Reverend Lovejoy. But he has met God face to face on multiple occasions, even getting permission to skip a church service.
