Marjorie "Marge" Jacqueline Simpson (née Bouvier) is the wife of Homer Simpson and the mother of Bart, Lisa, and Maggie Simpson.
Personality[]
A foil to her clumsy and dim-witted husband Homer, Marge is serious, has high morals, dislikes and avoids taking risks, can be fearful and apprehensive about new things, and is extremely strict and controlling towards the family. Though Springfield dislikes her tendency to doubt the new ideas that come to the town, it has been proved over and over again that without her, everything would fall to a shambles. The only beam of support for the Simpson family, Marge is a kind and caring wife and mother, but she can be overprotective and strict and forbid them to do anything that raises her eyebrow. This, unfortunately, earns the rebellious attitudes of Homer, Bart, and Lisa and often ends with her rules being broken by any of them. Also, she dotes on Maggie every second of every day.
Physical Appearance[]
Marge's most notable physical trademark is her tall beehive-styled blue hair. She usually wears a strapless green dress, red shoes, and a red pearl necklace, the latter of which is an apparent family heirloom that is valued.
