Homer and his friends are out at the bar on Halloween night when Homer walks out and is murdered by Ned Flanders.
Meanwhile, his family is at home hosting a Halloween party with friends and family over with games, scary music and food. The kids Bart (as Sharkboy from The Adventures of Sharkboy and Lavagirl), Lisa (as Lavagirl, also from The Adventures of Sharkboy and Lavagirl), take their baby sister Maggie (as a cute baby lamb), their adoptive baby cousin Ling (as a cute baby panda), and their friends Milhouse (as a train engineer), Becky (as a princess), Nina (as a witch), Sherri and Terri (as the Grady Twins from The Shining), Alison (as Kelly Kompowski from Saved By the Bell), Nelson (as a Ghostbuster), Ralph (as a puppy dog), Janey (as Dee from Clueless), Martin (as a mad scientist), Alex Whitney (as Cher from Clueless), Wendell (as a 20's newsboy), Lewis (as the White Power Ranger) and Richard (as the Stormtrooper from Star Wars) are out trick-or-treating in the town.
During the party, while the guests are having a good time, Marge (as Wonder Woman) is at the window wondering where her husband has gone and calls the police to report him missing.
