Under the Radar is a Japanese-American girl-group formed by Japanese singer-songwriter Mira Shai, and American recording artists Tori Demos, Kelly Ferreira and Lea Braun. They released their debut single, "Delicious",  on January 1, 2014, under Low Price Records, and their debut album, Complicated Simplicity, is set for release in late 2014. After Low Price disbanded, the group confirmed a move to Rapsta Chik's label Livin' Life Records.

Mira Shai (born December 28, 1993) is a Japanese singer-songwriter and the lead singer of Under the Radar. She started singing at the age of seven, winning the 2001 Annual Japanese Singing Competition, being eight years old. At the age of twelve, she lost her father to cancer. Encouraged by her mother, she decided to establish herself as a singer-songwriter and began writing songs for her debut studio album. In 2011, she released a four-songs EP, アローン覚ます (Wake Up Alone), which received moderate success in Japan. Her debut studio album, 言葉 (Words), was released in June 2012, becoming very successful in both Japan and Korea. In early 2013, she paired up with American recording artists Bella Goldman, Tori Demos and Ophelia Michaels to form the band delicious., changing its name to Under the Radar in mid 2014. Additionally, she re-released Words in North America on October 7, 2014, and was featured on several projects by other artists, including JayDee's "Treat You Right" and Faces's "Get Freaky".

Tori Demos (born April 14, 1995) is an American singer-songwriter, who rose to fame in 2010, after co-writing CeeLo Green's hit single "Forget You". After achieving moderate success in the US, in 2011, Demos performed at Chicago's House of Blues. She gave a series of concerts performing a pair of original songs and covers of songs by other artists. In 2013, she co-wrote the song "A Little Party Never Killed Nobody (All We Got)" for The Great Gatsby and became a member of Under the Radar.

Kelly Ferreira (born March 10, 1996) is an American singer-songwriter and record producer. In 2010, she placed third on Springfield's Lil Starmaker competition. Her audition went viral, catching the eye of several record labels, however, most said she was too young for a job as a recording artist. In mid 2014, she joined Under the Radar replacing vocalist Bella Goldman, who told the group Ferreira would be the perfect vocalist to replace her before leaving the band.

Lea Braun (born June 23, 1994) is an American singer-songwriter. She released a demo album in 2013 and was briefly signed by Sub Pop Records, however, she was later dropped. She joined Under the Radar in early 2015 after Dia Crooks left the group.

Former membersEdit

Bella Goldman (born October 13, 1989) is an American singer-songwriter. In 2009, she auditioned for the eight season of American Idol, but she only made it to the Hollywood rounds. In 2010, she was signed to XL Recordings, with whom she released Bella, a six-songs EP. She was later dropped from the record label, as she made her decision to support David Archuleta on his 2011 The Other Side of Down Asian Tour. In early 2013, she joined Under the Radar. However, in June 2014, she left the group. Like Shai, she said she would release her debut studio album in early 2015, however she decided to retire instead in Summer 2015.

Ophelia Michaels (May 15, 1988–February 1, 2015) is an American singer. After being abandoned by her parents, she spent the first years of her life at an orphanage, where she developed a deep love for music and arts. In 2004, she posted a series of recordings to YouTube, which received a reasonable amount of views for an unknown artist. After being discovered by Under the Radar member Demos, she was invited to join the band. However, in June 2014, she left the group. On February 1, 2015, she was found dead at her apartment. The cause of death was confirmed to be a suicide.

Dia Crooks (born September 6, 1994) is an American singer. In 2014, her cover of Sia's "Chandelier" went viral and she was invited by Under the Radar to join the band in mid 2014, replacing Ophelia Michaels. She left the group in early 2015.
